If you have no respect for my sport, i have no respect for you.
I guess i've really never especially thanked this group of people, this special special group of people, so tonight's the night! It's never too late, is it? (:
To: The seniors, AC Hocks '06
You guys don't have to be down with us every training, encouraging us, inspiring us, motivating us to defend better, run faster, score more goals. You don't have to be down at CCAB faithfully every Monday and Thurs, sometimes at school and in the beginning while we were just forming up as a team. No, you guys didn't have to be there, hot sun or thunderstorms, good moods or bad. You guys don't have to and didn't have to be at every one of our matches, U18 or A Div, screaming your lungs out, sharing our joys and cheers when we score, our heartbreak and pain when we didn't. But you guys have been there with us all the way. You've been as much a part of our team as any one of us out there, playing this season. You've been there from the start, through Bandar-not and beyond, all the way until now, faithfully, never complaining - even when you had to pick up after us, whether metaphorically or physically picking up our stuff. I just really want to say that you've been an inspiration to our team, and thank yous, for never giving up on us, for pushing us and mostly, for being there and never ceasing to believe in us, even we we ourselves had ceased to believe, even for that split second. So, thank you seniors, from the bottom of our hearts. (:
To: Xue, Chare, Luds, Monzy, Sher, Amanda Panda, Toren, Dione, Di, Aly, and the rest of the Miracle Team (Yes Xue i know you're older, but you were still very much a part of us haha)
As the baby and now captain of AC Hocks '07, i can't reiterate how much of a drastic change it's been, not only in terms of my position in the team, but the team as a whole. Though, different, i love both equally, and The Miracle Team will always remain in my heart as the team i loved for longer (: I know it's so different coming back as a senior and not a player, but you guys have all seemed to give as much heart and soul, sweat and blood to this team as if you were playing this season too.. And i can't even begin to say how much that has just made me so thankful to have you guys here with me, as i attempt to lead this team through our amazing journey, all for the love of our sport. Not only as a help, an inspiration to the team, but especially, for me. I guess, needless to say, i need support too. And i find my support, comfort and often fire there in your eyes, in your presence on the pitch. And that is another reason i want it so, damn, badly. There's nothing more that i feel i can do to take back what i still feel was OURS for the taking, than lifting up a trophy - be it first, second, third or fourth, and knowing that WE DID IT. I'm working for both teams this season, because in my heart, they go hand-in-hand, they're inseperable. You guys have given so much, as much as the players even, maybe, and this is what i'm giving to you. Thanks for keeping me going, even when i'm at my lowest. For pushing me on, even during the times when giving up seems so much easier. For giving me the strength so i can be the strength for those who need me to be strong. For keeping me breathing, like tonight, when all i want to do is lay down and stop. Thank you. (:
I don't think i can say exactly how blessed i am, HOW MUCH I WANT THIS - for this and many other reasons, how much, how much, how much. But i think, just for tonight, this will suffice: I love you all, '06 and '07, we've worked so hard together.. We CAN do this shit. I just know it, i believe.
Wednesday.
I guess that's why it's so hard for me to look some people in the eye now,
but that's that.
